A few weeks ago I shared the gift I made for a friend’s bachelorette party. Well, this week I have another idea for you. I made this gift for my friend last week when we went to Santa Barbara. I used the same technique as when I made the football drinking glasses, but this time I used fabric paint to personalize some underpants
I used Martha Stewart paint again, but this time I mixed in the fabric medium. You mix two parts paint to two parts medium and then the paint becomes suitable for using on fabric. Just make sure to wash is cold water and hang dry. There are all sorts of mediums you can mix with this paint (metal, stucco paint effect, crackle, glaze, etching and more!)
I used my Silhouette to create vinyl stencils and then stuck them to the fabric. I then painted two coats of the mixed fabric paint, making sure to wait at least one hour between coats.
Once the paint was dry, I peeled off the vinyl and was left with cute personalized panties. One says “Groom’s Property” and the says “Mrs. [Something] Est. 2012.”
I also made a quick stencil using contact paper (thanks Sugar Bee Crafts for the tip!) and made a personalized gift bag to put everything in. The bride liked it so I would say it was a success . And if you invite me to your bacherlorette you may have an idea of what I am going to get you
