My mom made her delicious pasta salad to go with the book Strega Nona (one of my favorites from Tomie dePaola).
Dessert table with mini pies, chocolate covered strawberries, coconut cake, cupcakes and banana pudding push pops.
I think my favorite thing were the tissue paper poufs. They were so easy to make and added so much color to the room.
Disclaimer: This is a photo heavy post…hope you enjoy!
I’ve been waiting to share this on this blog for awhile now. I knew I wanted to devote a few posts to it and with the holidays the timing hasn’t been right. But I’m so excited to share it now! I mean the baby is going to be here soon so I better get a move on
Back in November, we threw my best friend a baby shower for her first child. My BF means the world to me and I wanted the shower to be as amazing as she is. She is a school psychologist, so we decided on a children’s book themed shower.
My friends at Complete 3 Photography helped capture the day. And they did so so beautifully. All of these photos are courtesy of them. Check out their blog and Facebook page for even more beautiful images.
We matched the food to a children’s book. These are Almond Cupcakes with Strawberry Crème Frosting (recipe to come soon!)
Hot chocolate bar for The Polar Express
The beautiful mom to be
We even had a head band making station. I got all the supplies from The Hair Bow Company. They had such a great selection and reasonable prices.
My best friend’s mom refinished her old rocking chair from when she was a little girl. Such a special gift!
And who doesn’t love Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs?!?
Love this picture…I don’t even think she was posed!
And what’s a party with out some striped paper straws?!
The new mommy and her mom and sisters….love them all!
And cookie favors to go with If you Give a Mouse a Cookie.
Me and my bestie…I can’t wait to meet the little one in a few short weeks. She and her husband are going to be the best parents!
There’s no way this shower would have come together if it wasn’t for the help of family and friends. It was definitely a team effort. And a special thanks to Complete 3 for the amazing photos. Can’t wait to work with you again soon!
I’ll be sharing some recipes and craft tutorials for some of the things you see above…so stay tuned!
And come back tomorrow to enter an awesome giveaway! It may or may not be for a Kindle Fire
