A Meeting of the Social Media Author and the DIY Blogger and a GIVEAWAY

The Blogger's Survival Guide: Tips and Tricks for Parent Bloggers, Wordsmiths & Enthusiasts by Lexie Lane & Becky McNeer

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I know it’s going to be hard for me to get back in the swing of things after hosting Easter at our house yesterday.

I am thrilled to have Lexie Lane of The Social Media Panel guest posting today. I had the pleasure of meeting her a few months ago and am so grateful I did. Lexie is a Social Media genius and is a great resource for bloggers everywhere.  And to top it off, she is so friendly and sweet . I’ll let her tell you more, so without further adieu…here’s Lexie :)
A Personal Site Review of The Pink Flour
Although I have no sense of creativity and this of course is a blog filled with so much beauty, I’m here merely as a fellow blogger, coming through for a visit and of course letting you all know how I got to know Megan and her blog.
Megan and I met in a restaurant during a get together in one of Orange County’s hot spots. She and I immediately connected due to her shy, but very sweet aura. You know when you can just tell that the person you are talking to has a really nice personality just from looking through their eyes?  Yes, that was Megan.
This little lady is awesome in her own way and of course in her passion to get to know the blogosphere, which is my business/hobby at the moment. My husband says I am obsessed with the internet. In many ways, I am, being that I have now created a fantastic, thriving business, where I help business owners and clients get to know their online marketplace.
Although there are many blogs out there, some that are now becoming a “dime a dozen,” there are still favorites that really stand out, don’t they? This blog here, although still quite new, is easy on the eyes. It’s one of the reasons I don’t feel like a stress ball after I’m done looking through it. The images are nice, colorful, and stand out really well, making it “Pinteresting!” The posts are also short, sweet, and not tiresome to look at.
The Pink Flour, to me, is so easy to navigate that you can get to where you want to be in seconds and still have time to linger through some interesting posts. There is clear potential for this blog to really thrive, because she’s already got a good grasp of how to create interest, but is there more information I could help her with? There is ALWAYS more information when it comes to blogging!
The Journey of Blogging
Many bloggers, don’t ever realize the important aspects of blogging until they have been doing it a while and the discouraging results sink in. Megan is on the right track and already follows a lot of the key elements we describe in our book, The Blogger’s Survival Guide.
The Blogger’s Survival Guide is a new release published by Wayman Publishing and of course authored by “Yours Truly,” Lexie Lane and her colleague, Becky McNeer. We were once struggling bloggers. Becky, who started blogging to improve her real estate business now thrives from the number of clients she has received through her blog and myself, from the number of offers and promotions I receive on a weekly basis. In addition, our new business of 3 months has already picked up some really big clients and helping us in a very satisfying way.
In their book, The Blogger’s Survival Guide, Lane and McNeer do their best to help others avoid and conquer the struggles they went through as a blogger. The book is set up in a 7 day course and is filled with easy steps for the variety of internet users. Yes, they know that there will be others who are internet newbies or even slightly computer “illiterate,” as others like to call novice computer users. The book is designed for all levels of blogging.
The book is available of course as a handheld, paperbackor as a portable eBook.
