As I mentioned earlier in the week, my husband loves snickerdoodles and today is his birthday! I could go on for days about how much I love him, but I’ll limit it to this- He is the nicest person I know with the best heart. He makes me so happy and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for us!
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I made him some yummy cupcakes last night and I will definitely be sharing those on the blog soon, but for today I’m sharing another thing I made him for his birth-week (I don’t think your birthday should be just one day…at least a week, a month would be even better!)
Anyways, I wanted to make an adult beverage that used snickerdoodles, so I created this milkshake! It was quick and simple, but oh so delicious!
Now, I will confess that I did not make the cookies from scratch. I happened to have some frozen snickerdoodle cookie dough in the freezer, so I just popped those in the oven to use in the milkshake. No use in spending time making cookies I was going to turn into crumbs anyways
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup whipped vodka (i.e. Pinnacle Vodka)
2 baked snickerdoodle cookies
7 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1. Break one of the cookies in half and crumble one half of the cookie and set aside.
2. Combine remaining ingredients in blender. I used our Vitamix
3. Pour milkshake into glass and top with cookie crumbs. Enjoy!
